Biography
Theoneste Nsanzabarinda is a Rwandan computer science graduate and a key contributor to the Rwanda Olympiad program. He studied Computer Science at the African Leadership University – Rwanda, where he developed strong skills in software engineering, full-stack web development, and system design. Before joining the Olympiad program, Theoneste worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Rohde & Schwarz, a global technology company specializing in test and measurement equipment, secure communications, and network technology. During his internship, he gained valuable hands-on experience in software development, systems integration, and collaboration within professional engineering teams.
Since December 2022, Theoneste has been actively involved in the Rwanda Olympiad Program, serving as a Program Support Officer. In this role, he helps organize national mathematics competitions, coordinate training camps, and support the selection and preparation of students for international contests such as PAMO, IMO, and EAMO. He also manages communication with schools and students, oversees logistics, and develops systems to streamline registration and data tracking—combining both technical and administrative expertise. Above all, Theoneste is most inspired when he discovers talented junior students in mathematics. He finds great joy in identifying and nurturing their potential, guiding them through their Olympiad journey. His passion for STEM education and youth development makes him not only a technical contributor but also a valued mentor in Rwanda’s growing mathematics community.
